Ttest Future Product Line
Ttest has a range of products under development and aims to bring them to market with a view to economies of scale in production and sales. It is our view that acquiring patents will allow the Company to protect its innovative products in primary markets for an extended period. In addition, it may be possible to license some of the patented technology in secondary markets for additional revenue.
Besides the patents already granted for the Drug Stik and Alcohol Stik, three other patent applications for testing are already underway: Pregnancy, Breast Cancer and Nicotine. Each of these will incorporate similar technology and allow rapid, on-site screening by simply wiping the test stick over the tongue to saturate with saliva and then waiting a few seconds for the result.
Phase one of Ttests strategy is to establish an operation supplying drug, alcohol and HIV testing to the existing industry in the U.S. and international markets. The other tests will follow once this has been achieved. The following is a quick overview of these ancillary products:
HEPATITIS TEST
Tests for the presence of both hepatitis B & C
Market Size: Almost 2% of the population in the United States is infected with hepatitis C, according to a new comprehensive national report, making the virus the most common chronic blood borne infection in the country.

PREGNANCY TEST (Patent Pending)
Enables women to detect pregnancy within 5 to 7 days of conception, well before other tests. Early detection can increase at-risk pregnancies chances of going full term.
Market Size: In 2001 worldwide sales for over-the-counter pregnancy test kits were approximately $920 million.

BREAST CANCER TEST (Patent Pending)
Detects protein markers in saliva highly correlated with breast cancer (87%). Rapid results unlike any other test on the market. Provides adjunctive diagnostic test to mammography.

DIABETES
According to the American Diabetes Association, an estimated 11.1 million people have been diagnosed with diabetes in the U.S. The frequency of self-blood glucose monitoring depends on the type of diabetes. A recommendation for Type 1 is 3 - 4 times daily and Type 2 is once daily.
Market Size: Approximately 825,000 people have Type 1 diabetes and 10.1 million people have Type 2 diabetes in the U.S. This accounts for over 12 million self-tests daily and over 4 billion self tests yearly. Each day approximately 2,200 people are diagnosed with diabetes and about 1 million people will be diagnosed this year.

CHOLESTEROL
The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), a division of the NlH, and the National Cholesterol Education Program (NCEP) recommend that adults aged 20 years and older have their cholesterol checked at least once every 5 years.
Market Size: According to the CDC, 40.6 million Americans have high-risk cholesterol levels and should be checked annually. The 2000 U.S. Census Bureau estimates 198 million people are 20 years and older. With 41 million high-risk people testing annually, we estimated that the remaining 157 million people will be tested once in five years for an average of an additional 31million tests per year. This amounts to approximately 72 million cholesterol tests per year in the U.S.

According to the American Social Health Association, two-thirds of all STDs occur in people 25 years of age or younger with 80% of adolescents in the U.S. becoming sexually active before the age of 20. The 2000 U.S. Census Bureau indicates there are 39 million people in the 15-24 age group. This calculates to 31 million (80%) sexually active 15-24 years old in the U.S.
Market Size: The 2000 U.S. Census Bureau indicates there are 82 million people in the 25-44 age group. Estimating of 30% of this age group as single and sexually active, this adds 25 million people. Our market of sexually active people at risk for STDs in the U.S. is 56 million. Projecting 2.0 tests per year for this sexually active group, equates to an STD market of 112 million tests annually just for the 15-24 age group and the single 25-44 age group.
